Fit begins with the gown you are considering, not with a familiar letter on a label. Each Zolaviri gown page shows the size options available for that item, and some pages also include a size chart or a short fit note. Because sizing information can differ by style, use the exact product page as your primary reference.
Begin with the product page, not a universal size
Open the page for the gown you want and review the size selector, the size chart, and any fit note. The options may include letter sizes such as XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL, but the available run is shown for that item. Some gowns begin at S; others include XS. Do not assume that one letter size will behave the same way across every style. Color and other style choices are separate from size.
Read the chart as it is presented. It may use inches, and it may list bust, waist, hip, or length. If the chart labels a measurement as a body measurement or a garment measurement, keep that distinction in mind. If the label is unclear, ask before ordering rather than guessing.
Body measurements and garment measurements are different
Body measurements describe your own proportions. Garment measurements describe the finished dress, often taken across specific points. A size chart can use either approach, and the two are not interchangeable.
Use body measurements to understand your own bust, waist, and hip measurements. Use finished garment measurements to understand the space in the dress itself. If a product page gives a garment measurement, compare it with a similar garment you own that fits the way you want, measured in the same way the chart specifies. Do not treat the measurements of another dress as your body measurements.
Taking bust, waist, and hip measurements
Wear light clothing or undergarments similar to what you plan to wear with the gown. Stand relaxed, breathe normally, and use a soft measuring tape that lies flat without twisting. Keep the tape snug but do not pull it tight enough to compress the body.
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape level across the back and under the arms.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist, generally the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and do not hold your breath.
- Hip: Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat with your feet together and the tape level.
For a floor-length gown, length can also matter. If the product page provides a length measurement, compare it using the same method described there. Do not rely on your height alone to judge gown length.
Comparing your measurements with a gown size chart
Take your measurements first, then open the chart for the exact gown. Compare each relevant body area rather than looking only at one number. If your bust and waist point to different sizes, the product-specific fit note and the gown's construction details are more useful than a general rule.
Pay attention to the fit language on that product page. Some descriptions may note a tailored or slim fit; others may describe a regular or relaxed area through the skirt. Only rely on fit language that appears on the specific product page, and do not carry a fit note from one gown over to another.
When an adjustable feature is mentioned
Some gowns include adjustable details, such as a functional lace-up corset back or adjustable shoulder straps. Where these are described, read the product page carefully. An adjustable feature may change how the gown is fastened or fine-tuned, but it does not replace the size chart or confirm a fit on its own.
If you are between sizes
Do not assume there is a single between-size rule for every Zolaviri gown. Start with the chart on the product page, then look for a fit note specific to that style. If the page gives a recommendation for customers between sizes, read it as guidance for that gown, not as a store-wide instruction.
Consider which measurement is closest to the chart, how you want the bodice and waist to feel, and whether the page describes adjustable features. Do not choose a size solely from your height, weight, age, usual size in another brand, or a generic conversion chart. If the choice is still unclear, contact us with the details below.
Size help before you order
If you cannot tell which size to choose, email vaughan@zolaviri.shop. Include the product name or link, the size or sizes you are comparing, your bust, waist, and hip measurements if you are comfortable sharing them, the fit you want, and the part of the product page that is unclear.
Please do not send sensitive personal information, identity documents, or intimate photos by email. We can help you interpret the size information shown for a gown, but a recommendation cannot guarantee fit and does not change the store's return or exchange policy.
